The US Air Force has released an image of Senior Airman Daniel San Miguel supervising tests of General Electric’s F110-GE-129 engine.

Misawa Air Base, in Japan, is where the tests took place, with the F110-GE-129 engine boasting 29,000 pounds of force at its peak output.

Obviously, the engines go through many rigorous tests at peak output before they are approved to be used in ultra fast fighter jets like the F-16.

In the picture above, the F110-GE-129 engine is in its afterburner phase, a really neat sneak peek into one of the activities members of the US Air Force take part in on a regular basis.
