Solar Impulse 2 Touches Down In California After 62 Hours Of Flight Time

Solar Impulse 2 pilot Bertrand Piccard took the skies from from Hawaii at 6:30am this past Thursday, and after 62 hours in the air, touched down at Moffett Airfield, California.

For the first time in 9 months, the Solar Impulse 2 is back on track in its effort to circumnavigate the Earth, after being grounded shortly after completing its trip from Japan to Hawaii.

Next leg up is California to New York, a journey that pilot Andre Borschberg will take on.
